Overview of Position:
As Gorgon Project/WA Oil Technical Interface Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating technical and operational efforts which overlap Chevron Australia’s WA Oil and Gorgon Project assets, with the objective of delivering a seamless interface between them. This position will deal with a wide range of factors including operational constraints, technical challenges, schedules, regulatory commitments and information and data exchanges. The successful candidate will play a key role in meeting Chevron’s business objectives whilst maximising potential synergies between the assets.


Position Details:

Key skills and experience required:
* A minimum of 10 years experience in a construction or operational role within the oil and gas industry
* Demonstrable understanding of mature oil field operations, logistics, construction and base business
* Confident and clear written and verbal communications skills with the ability to influence and engage a broad range of individuals across all levels
* Sound problem solving and decision making skills
* Excellent team building skills

The successful candidate will:
* Represent the Asset Managers in the definition and resolution of technical and operational interface matters
* Identify, manage and maximise synergy opportunities for the existing Barrow Island operations and the Gorgon Project
* Provide guidance on technical interface opportunities and contribute to feasibility studies
* Lead and participate in project activities to deliver sound operational interface opportunities
* Build alignment of groups through strong and effective relationship building and leadership

ENERGY AND OUTREACH ADVISER


Promoting a low carbon, high growth global economy is one of the key policy goals of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and its missions overseas. The British Embassy is building a new team to promote the climate security agenda, we are looking for an advisor to focus on energy policy and to assist the team/mission with stakeholder communication.

The jobholder will work in the Climate Change and Economy Section working closely with colleagues in the Political, Press and Public Affairs and Commercial Sections in the British Embassy Jakarta and the other British Embassies and High Commissions in South East Asia, reporting to the Team Leader based in Jakarta.


The successful candidate will have:
* Significant expertise within the energy sector, preferably with a minimum 4 years relevant working experience
* A degree (preferably Masters degree) – Majoring in a Science based subject (e.g. engineering, environmental studies or related)
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills, and experience within public communications outreach
* Able to think creatively about how to achieve British Government low carbon objectives in the local environment.
* Able to work efficiently without close supervision, including managing projects.
* An enthusiastic and organised team player.
* A good understanding of climate change and energy policy is essential.


The successful candidate will:
* Build strategies to develop low carbon intensive energy policies in Indonesia.
* Working with media, civil society, and business and government bodies to promote lower carbon economic development in Indonesia and persuading key stakeholders that a stable climate is essential for a secure, prosperous and equitable future.
* Collecting information and reporting on climate change and energy policy in including vulnerability to climate induced changes.
* Promoting dialogue between Indonesia and UK counterparts on the international climate change negotiations, and persuading Indonesian interlocutors to support an ambitious successor to the Kyoto protocol.
* Promoting UK, EU and wider UNFCCC programmes such as the CDM and CTF, designed to mitigate and adapt against climate change
* Identifying project opportunities to promote a lower carbon intensity energy framework in Indonesia, and implementing this activity.
* Organising visits (both to Indonesia and the UK) for senior stakeholders related to climate security.
* Acting as a focal point on climate change related energy issues in the Embassy.

JOB VACANCY

PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), a subsidiary of G-Resources Group, a HK based Limited Company, is developing the Martabe Project in North Sumatra, approximately 40 km south-east of Sibolga, Gold and silver ore will be mined by open pit methods using a mining contractor. A processing facility will be built adjacent to the pit to process ore at a rate of 4.5 Mtpa to produce approximately 200,000 oz of gold and 2 million oz of silver annually.

PTAR is now pleased to invite applications for the following role:

MINE PLANNING ENGINEER

This position reports directly to the Mine Engineering Manager and the role will involve the development of mine, infrastructure and reclamation plans in concert with other mining engineering staff. This position carries on through the project development up to and including operations.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
• Reasonable level of problem solving, hands on approach, able to motivate and lead a team
• High level of computer literacy skills Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Surpac, Micromine, Whittle. Candidates with experience in comparable mine planning software should also apply.
• High commitment to PTAR standards in environment, safety, business ethic and good corporate governance.
• Engineering Degree in a related mining/civil engineering discipline with an emphasis on computer planning skills.
• Minimum of 10 years working experience within substantial open cut, D&B, open cut mine. Experience in a metalliferous mining operation would be desirable
• Registered or eligible for Professional Engineer Status
• Short and long range planning experience.
• Experience in mine scheduling, haul road, pit design, drill and blast, grade control
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas. Competence in speaking, reading and writing English.
