Responsibilities:

URGENTLY REQUIRED POSITION :

To be part of the Shell Project Team under scheme fixed term employment for 2 years in Indonesia for the detailed engineering and construction of a Lubrication Oil Blending plant. To develop and maintain the detailed schedule of the Project including assessing the Critical Path and keeping close track of key activities throughout the entire Project Implementation period. Development of commissioning and testing schedules that will need to be integrated with the EPC contractors schedule.

1. Part of the Front-end Engineering & Design (FEED) phase directly followed by the Execution phase of a Greenfield Lube Oil Blending Plant in Indonesia with 100kt production capacity.
2. Project team involving 13 core team members and up to 500-600 site staff at the peak of construction activities.
3. Recruitment of up to 150 permanent and contract staff for plant operations (at full ramp-up).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures
2. Develop Level 1,2 and 3 schedules as required for Detailed engineering and Execute phases of the project using Primavera package
3. Create logical sequences of activities and produce a critical path schedule. Highlight to the project manager opportunities to optimise the schedule.
4. Provide Planning and Scheduling input to Project Team meetings to raise awareness of issues affecting the achievement of schedule milestones
5. Maintain and develop progress S-Curves and progress input into regular project status reports
6. Perform Schedule Risk Analysis and identify mitigating actions
7. Update the project schedule on an agreed basis,based on engineering,vendor and field progress
8. Support project team in the development of various plan scenarios,schedules and resourcing implications.
9. Review Contractor(s) (L2,L3 and L4) schedules and integrate these within the overall project schedule to maintain overall progress reporting
10. Review Contractor execution schedule and seek clarity where required. Challenge priority setting and activity durations
11. Develop the testing,commissioning schedules and lead the integration with the construction schedules.
12. Develop and implement the ramp up production schedules

WELL ENGINEER OPERATIONS
• To provide detailed planning and programming of drilling, completion
and workover activities to deliver “fit for
purpose” wells at maximum value in terms of cost versus benefits,
which meet the requirements of the Development
and/or Exploration function while adhering to Company’s policies,
procedures and guidelines on well delivery operations.
• To implement the “Delivering The Limit (DTL)” methodology. Organise
and facilitate challenge sessions
DWOP’s and AAR’s for their projects and act as operations engineer
through execution phase on some projects, for
which the “cradle to grave” principle can be applied.
• Maintain and monitor the companies lessons learned database and
ensure transfer of knowledge across the rig
teams.
• Identify opportunities to implement cost saving / value enhancing
breakthrough performance in designs with application of radical
techniques.
• Make use of global lateral learning through wells global network and
import best practice.
• To ensure Company’s HSE objectives are met.
Principle Accountabilities
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
• Ensures full compliance with the company’s HSE policies and
procedures as detailed in the Safety Management
System, HSE Standards and all other appropriate HSE documentation.
• Conduct relevant HSE-Critical activities as specified in the
HSE-Critical Activities Register
• Set a clear leadership example and promotes a high degree of health,
safety and environmental awareness
among subordinates.
• Review effectiveness of rig HSE management by line inspection.
Provides input to the department HSE Plan and
is accountable for follow-up and documentation of close-out of
individual and subordinates’ action points, identified in the HSE plan.
• Fully brief well-site personnel prior to safety critical /
non-routine activities such as CPRA and well testing.
• Co-ordinate the follow-up and close-out of rig related action points
resulting from near miss and incident reports and HSE visits and audits.
• Encourage well site staff in hazard awareness and risk assessment,
generation of hazard-, near miss- and incident reports, by continuous
attention and communication.

Well Planning & Execution of Operations
• Strive for full adherence to the Company Well Delivery Process
description and the associated time line
• Prepare departmental input for well proposals and ensures well
proposals are optimised with respect to well
quality, HSE and cost efficiency.
• Design wells and manages the generation of fit for purpose well
programmes.
• Maintain close liaison with the Material Scheduler to ensure forward
planning for all non-standard direct charge
material requirements ascertained from preparation of well proposals
and/or well programmes.
• Supervise and direct well-site personnel in the execution of the
ongoing and planned well operations.
• Plan and execute all well operations in full compliance with Company
procedures, policies and guidelines.
• Provide timely and accurate information to other departmental units
on operational status and any deviations
from plans, programmes, policies, procedures or guidelines.
• Facilitate short term planning and scheduling of personnel,
equipment and services required for the well operations under his
control. Ensures update of well files such as operations progress,
writing of end of well reports and reporting / documentation of
non-standard or irregular operations and events.

Concurrent Production and Rig Activities (CPRA)
• Manage CPRA involving the rig for which he is responsible.
• Ensure that the platform specific CPRA Safety Case has been issued
and the requirements have been implemented prior to starting CPRA.
• Ensure full compliance with CPRA procedures for the duration of
CPRA. Monitors co-ownership production deferment booked against CPRA
activities.

Well Tie-In
• Manage well tie-in involving the rig for which he is responsible.
• Ensure that the all approvals have been obtained and that adequate
procedures and documentation is available on the rig prior to prior to
starting well tie-in.
• Liaise with Engineering and Construction departments in matters
involving preparation for and execution of well tie-in activities.

Rig Move and Platform Access
• Schedule and attend rig move meetings and liaises with other
departments during the preparation of the actual rig move.
• Ensure rig move, involving the rig are planned and discussed with
all parties prior to execution of rig move operations.
• Verify and ensure well integrity in line with the company’s
procedures prior to performing any heavy lifts and/or approaching a
platform/well jacket with his rig.
• Ensure platform/well jacket is handed over in accordance with
procedures.

Management of Costs
• Review contents of the well proposal and challenges all aspects
where alternative more cost effective solutions are available to meet
the technical demands and requirements of the well objectives
• Compilation and submission of the Level 3 and Value of Work Done
(VOWD) Cost Estimates using the approved procedures and formats
(software).
• Challenge and verifies all available cost data for inclusion in cost
estimates to ensure required accuracy is
achieved. Monitors and challenges the reported daily cost using the
approved cost reporting facilities.
• Monitor the accumulating well cost versus the planned cost,
reporting all variances to the departmental units as appropriate.
• Prepares any programme amendment costings as required and ensures
necessary approvals are obtained.

Close Out, Reporting & Performance Monitoring
• Ensure the Drilling Supervisor prepares end of the well reports in
the approved format.
• Provide feedback to other departmental units on the use and
recommendations for improvement of the software programmes in place.
• Provide feedback to the contracts section on the use and
recommendations for improvement of the drilling rig and drilling
service contracts.
• Provide input for the monthly MIR and quarterly review reports.
Ensures all data derived from the wellsite operations is validated.
• Perform cost performance analysis as required and documents all
operations where, technically feasible, more cost effective solutions
exist.
• Ensure dissemination of the performance analysis by inclusion in the
relevant section of the end of well report.
• Closely monitor all incidents of Non-Productive Time (NPT), ensures
full and proper reporting of all incidence of NPT in WIS and end of
well reports and reviews to capture cost implications and learning
points.
• Maintain regular contact with drilling contractor and service
company representatives to ensure mutual understanding of operational
requirements as well as to identify opportunities for quality
improvements.
Skill/Competence
• Possession of a valid IWCF certificate at combined surface and
sub-sea supervisor level.
• Attendance of relevant Advanced Drilling Techniques course
• Good interpersonal relations and communication skills as well as
good working knowledge of well engineering software packages are also
required.
• Able to work in teams while maintaining the capability and
flexibility for independent action
• Selected candidates will be encouraged to follow the Shell Group
“Round 2″ Distance Learning Programme with the aim of obtaining this
qualification within two years.
Minimum Qualifications and experience required
• A university degree in Engineering or any other related engineering

Principle Accountabilities

Field Development Planning and Technology Support
• Participates in feasibility studies, to identify projects, which
meet companies screening criteria.
• For those studies which meet the criteria deliver well engineering
input in to the FDP.
• Responsible for selecting new and novel ideas with the view to
introduction into the Company’s operations.
• Co-ordinate/liaise with the service industry on new developments,
introducing field trials into operations as appropriate.
• Responsible for identifying new technology opportunities with the
potential for breakthrough performance in the Company’s
• Continuously update knowledge of new technologies and developments
by attending appropriate courses,seminars, workshops and conferences.

Contract Management
• Ensures continuity in contractual coverage for well engineering
equipment, material and services normally covered under the contracts.
• Ensures contract expenditure is monitored along with other Key
Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Identifies the need for contract variations for equipment, materials
and services not covered under the contract,initiates variations and
ensures variations are timely in place.

Management of Costs
• Responsible for compilation and submission of Cost Estimates for the
activity proposals, using the approved procedures and formats (software).
• Verifies all available cost data for inclusion in cost estimates to
ensure required accuracy is achieved.
• Liaise with Business Planning & Economics and sub-surface team on
the economic viability of a well.

New Technology
• Where applicable review and introduce new technology into the Asset.
• Make use of global lateral learning through wells global network and
import best practice.
• Will be appointed with introducing new technology into the well
delivery process with the main objective to reduce UTC.
• Promotes performance of Well Engineering department within the
Company and globally.

Staff Development, Mentorship
• Mentors and supports selected young graduate staff with a view to
assist them in developing into mature, balanced, assertive and
motivated engineers.
• Develops individual Performance Records, including target setting
and review and compiles annual performance review reports.
• Develops individual development plans and represents them in the
annual performance and potential review cycle.
• Advises, instructs, guides and motivates subordinate staff in the
efficient performance of their duties.
• Ensures that meaningful Performance Records are written and review
takes place for all subordinates.

Networking
• Maintains regular contact with Well Delivery Team, drilling

outside the assigned Asset Unit.

and to keep abreast of the latest developments in new technologies and
best practices.

reservoir management. The position covers a broad range of
responsibilities aimed at optimising the value of the water injection
scheme.
Principle Accountabilities
• Identification, quantification and optimisation of secondary
recovery (water injection) opportunities in a mature
area.
• Planning and timely execution of multidisciplinary geological
studies carried out to a high standards. This
includes involvement in the delivery of well proposals, well resumes
and drilling activities.
• Initiation of and contribution to special geophysical studies
together with the geophysical section
• Involved in the Company’s Static Reservoir Model Review Panel
• Contribution to well proposals and monitoring during drilling
operations as well as the updating of geological/geophysical models
after drilling.
• Identification of requirements for data gathering and (integrated)
study work to pursue above opportunities.
• Provide input and advice for operational activities and to well
planning and well evaluations.
• Mentoring & developing young Brunei staff will be an integral part
of job.

Minimum Qualifications and experience required
• A degree in Geoscience or equivalent.

PRODUCTION GEOLOGIST
To provide comprehensive production and reservoir geology input within
a multi-disciplinary team environment into a full field development
studies with primary focus on maturing water flood opportunities.
Principle Accountabilities
• Work in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary team consisting
of production geophysicists & geologist,reservoir engineers,
production Technologists, Petrophysicist, well engineers and front-end
facilities engineers supported by technical assistants, study team
leader and the development leadership team to define the work scope
• Contribute to the planning and scheduling of study project and on
the key milestones such as reviews/challenge sessions, VARs, reserves
booking and reporting. Familiarity of the OPMG, V2V and the VAR
process is an advantage.
• Participate in internal and external reviews as well as audits on
studies and resource volumes, VARs- Perform basic data collection for
the study, QC and validation
• Identify, quantify and optimise secondary recovery (water injection)
opportunities in a mature area. The work will include detailed
integrated reservoir geological modelling.
• Carry out all required evaluations prior to the start of 3D static
modelling.
• Identify and assess risks and uncertainties, apply multiple
scenarios approach in the field development planning study leading to
the maturing of the development concept
• Contribute to the field development plan documentation.
• Provide support to the 3D seismic interpretation as required.
• Firm up further oil development and water injection drilling
targets, prepare the well data packs and monitor the drilling activities.
• Provide input and advice for operational activities (e.g. well
proposals, logging, testing) and well planning and evaluations.
• Mentoring & developing young Bruneian staff will be an integral part
of the job.
Skill/Competence
• Previous experience on water injection projects is highly desirable.
• Experience with static reservoir modelling is a must (preferably
able to use PETREL), experience in 3D seismic
interpretation and drilling operations (geo-steering) is desirable.

• Able to effectively communicate across all levels of the interfacing

To provide petrophysical engineering support within a
multi-disciplinary team environment to the appraisal, development,
reservoir studies and management of the assets within the Company’s
Asset Units.
Principle Accountabilities
• Review and analyse all available petrophysical data of his area of
studies, enhance and validate petrophysical

interpretation in order to optimise use and integration of data in the
construction of static and dynamic reservoir models.
• Provide correct integration of petrophysical information,
understanding and requirements into development plans and activity
proposals.
• Translate well objectives and business requirements into
fit-for-purpose, cost effective data acquisition strategy and programs.
• Provide operational input and support to well and reservoir
surveillance activities, e.g. well reviews, cased hole data
acquisition for reservoir monitoring, well engineering operations
planning and support, including well-site operations where necessary.
• Co-ordinate and QA/QC petrophysical log and core data acquisition
activities, and provide operational petrophysical support and
evaluation of new data acquired.
• Ensure the integrity of the corporate log database.
• Keep up to date with new technology developments within the
discipline and acquire other Petroleum Engineering disciplines basic
knowledge to allow an active participation in multidisciplinary groups.

To provide reservoir engineering contribution within a
multi-disciplinary team environment to the appraisal, development
and reservoir management of the fields. The job covers a broad range
of responsibilities including carrying out reservoir studies with the
objectives of optimising Asset performance and maximising economic
hydrocarbon recovery of the fields.
Principle Accountabilities
• Identify and quantify opportunities for appraisal, development,
production optimization and utilization of new technologies and tools.
The work may include integrated development studies utilizing detailed
integrated reservoir simulation studies and economic evaluations.
• Implement approved appraisal / development plans, and production
policies.
• Surveillance and optimisation of existing developments viz.
Identification of data gathering requirements, andproviding input and
advice for operational activities (e.g. logging, testing) and to well
operations planning and well evaluations.
• Ensure that reservoir engineering data and documentation pertaining
to the allocated reservoirs are validated and stored in a retrievable
manner.
• Support and contribute to the Hydrocarbon resource volume and
production forecasting administration, and annual Business Plan processes.
• Liaison with the shareholders to ensure timely value assurance,
budget approvals and performance reporting.
• Participate in peer assists both within Company and regionally (VtV,
VARs)
• Coaching, mentoring & developing local Bruneian staff will be an
integral part of the job.
Skill/Competence
• Experience in mature field management and secondary recovery processes.

Principle Accountabilities
• Supervise the execution of drilling, completion and workover
activities.
• Supervise the drilling contractors and service personnel to ensure
all work performed conform to safety,quality and highest value
requirements and in accordance with the well programme.
• Responsible for day-to-day optimisation of activities and provision
of first line action and problem solving in case of unexpected events.
• Provide sufficient, accurate and timely data to office based Well
Delivery Team members.
• Co-ordinate the timely supply of required equipment, consumables and
specialist services to ensure uninterrupted continuation of operations.
• In order to broaden his experience and develop his communication
skills, he may be assigned to high profile drilling activities such as
HPHT and or Deep Water Exploration Drilling.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
• Ensure full Well-site compliance with the Company HSE policies and
standards.
• Conduct relevant HSE-Critical activities.
• Ensure all personnel are fully conversant with, and strictly adhere
to, their responsibilities as detailed in the

Safety Case for the respective installation.
• Set a clear leadership example and promotes a high degree of HSE
awareness among subordinates.
• Review effectiveness of rig HSE systems by inspection and audit.
Reviews effectiveness of rig HSE

communication by line inspection.
• Promote the practical implementation of the Hazard and Effects
Management Process (HEMP).
• Fulfill tasks identified in the departmental HSE Plan.
• Co-ordinate activities on the rig affecting HSE matters.
• Ensure all non-routine hazardous work is performed under the permit
to work (PTW) system.
• Ensure all near miss incidents and incidents resulting in injury or
damage to assets, equipment or the

environment are reported and that assigned incidents and near miss
events are investigated, reported and documented.
• Shall be certified PTW Authorised Signatory.

Emergency Response
• Co-ordinate the Company’s response at the Site and as On-Scene
Representative to assists the Drilling

Contractor in his function as On-Scene Commander in dealing with an
emergency.
• Is fully conversant with Company and Contractor Emergency Response
Procedures and ensures the rig and

Contractor is fully prepared for an emergency.
• Test rig site emergency preparedness at regular intervals. Shall
have attended the Company On-Scene

Commander course and be assessed competent, within 6 months of
assuming the function.

Concurrent Production and Rig Activities (CPRA)
• Is familiar with Concurrent Production and Rig Activity (CPRA)
procedures (TMS-4) and the platform specific

CPRA Safety Case and ensures that all operations are performed in full
compliance with these procedures.
• Supervise non Well Engineering staff and contractors in execution of
CPRA Third Activities.
• Take a pro-active role in the preparation and execution of CPRA
activities and ensures the weekly CPRA.

Personnel
• Promote an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect amongst all
personnel onboard the work unit or at the

drilling site.
• Provide active support to Well-site Drilling Engineers in their
development efforts, in particular in preparation for

their professional certification examinations.
• Train new Well-site Drilling Engineers in their prime roles and
responsibilities, in particular logistics
management, filing and reporting. Participates in staff appraisal
exercises.

Reporting of daily operations
• Report directly to the Well Delivery Team but functionally reports
to the Senior Drilling Engineer on all matters
pertaining to the conduct of operations at the Well-site in accordance
with the requirements of the Well Engineering
Manual.
• Input and verifies the accuracy of Well Information System (WIS)
daily drilling reports.
• Responsible for processing end of well reports, as per Well
Engineering Manual standards, for selected wells.

Contract management
• Responsible for the implementation of all relevant contracts and
their variations.
• Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of contractor service
quality.
• Inform contract holders of all service provision deficiencies and
contractor non-compliance.

Personal Development
• Maintain an active interest in and familiarizes with operations.
• Is present during the Drilling the Well on Paper (DWOP) and other
meetings taking place as part of the activity

planning process.
• Maintains the Skills Portfolio Logbook up to date.
• Performs small office based projects in well engineering subjects
during time off.

Management of costs
• Responsible for the daily expenditure and reporting using cost
reporting facility.
• Calculate the cost of services execution based on the job execution
record and contract rates.
• Minimise equipment rental time and personnel on board by the timely
and efficient transfer of materials and
personnel to and from the rig.
• Has full authority for call out of equipment and personnel.

Close out, reporting and performance monitoring
• Provide data, assists in the preparation of, and conducts well
review presentations.
• Ensure well file is kept up to date.
• Provide recommendations for improvement of the WIS and cost
reporting system, the accounts guide / coding

system and drilling rig / drilling service contracts.
• Assist in longer term operational decision making, performs cost
benefit analysis on all programmed

operational steps to ensure cost efficient operation, suggests
alternative procedures when appropriate cost benefits are

perceived.
Skill/Competence
• Possession of a valid IWCF certificate at combined surface and
sub-sea supervisor level.
• Attendance of relevant Advanced Drilling Techniques course
• Good interpersonal relations and communication skills as well as
good working knowledge of well engineering

software packages are also required.
• Able to work in teams while maintaining the capability and
flexibility for independent action
• Selected candidates will be encouraged to follow the Shell Group
“Round 2″ Distance Learning Programme with

the aim of obtaining this qualification within two years.
Minimum Qualifications and experience required
• A university degree in Engineering or any other related engineering
discipline.
• Minimum 8 years Well Engineering experience of which at least 2
years as Drilling Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Our multi discipline Upstream consultancy provides feasibility/front-end studies and review services at all stages in the asset life cycle, ranging from prospect evaluation, feasibility and design studies, implementation and execution strategies, brown field re-development and production and asset optimization through to decommissioning and abandonment. The projects deal with strategic business opportunities in complex business environments. You will be expected to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams, which will allow you to further develop your engineering and integrated team leader skills.

You will work with Upstream clients in the Asia Pacific region to deliver the highest return on investment from their (hydrocarbon) opportunities. Such work requires our engineers to be responsible for integration between petroleum, process, facilities and other engineering discipline expertise;
You will follow-through and embed the Shell Group Health, Safety and Environment & Business Principles in all work undertaken;
You will manage and/or execute process engineering work for clients within the Asia Pacific region;
You will carry out conceptual engineering and optimisation studies in order to define engineering projects;
You will manage and review work carried out by external engineering consultants;
You will coach, mentor and develop junior and graduate staffs.

Requirements:

You should have 8 - 12 years' experience in Upstream process engineering, particularly in oil, water & gas processing technologies;
You must be familiar with process modeling tools, e.g. UniSim, HYSYS, PETEX;
Experience within the oil and gas industry ideally from working in various roles during typical project phases in front end engineering, detail design and project execution;
Strongly developed team working skills, including the ability to lead integrated teams;
In addition to your technical skills, good communication skills are highly desirable. Communications with the operational groups, partners and other stakeholders and with other technical disciplines within Shell’s technical community are of key importance;


2. GS11: Technologist - Thermal Conversion

Responsibilities:

As a Thermal Conversion technologist, you’ll perform the following vital tasks:

Provide technical advice on the optimal operation of thermal conversion facilities, through monitoring, modelling and evaluation of plant performance;
Execute process studies in support of projects in Shell, JV and non-Shell refineries as well as for licensing bids;
Participate in margin improvement and energy reduction activities, technical audits and safety audits;
Make process designs for revamps and new units;
Give technical support in later project stages and start-ups;
Support acquisition activities in Refining, Chemicals and Upstream;
Participate in the development and maintenance of in-house tools and documentation, and do gatekeeping on competitors’ developments;
Adhere to quality standards.

Requirements:

Substantial experience in either a refinery or an engineering contractor/process engineering environment;
Able to use ProII or other process modelling/simulations tools extensively;
You will have relevant exposure in Thermal Conversion and other conversion technologies, eg. Delayed Coking, Visbreaking;
Possess a pro-active and innovative attitude to attracting new business, be an excellent (virtual) team player and have a well-developed approach to service;
Fluent in written and spoken English, you’ll be able to work independently and take ownership of your work;
Design and project experience would be an advantage, and you should be prepared to undertake a certain amount of international travel;

GS offers a range of product quality related technical consultancy services in the areas of Product Centred Refining, Laboratory performance, Product Movements, Product integrity (contamination) control in the supply chain, Blending and Biofuels.

These services include targeted margin improvement and refinery Master Planning studies, training, safety and integrity reviews and project support. Customers include a broad spectrum of Shell Group and non-Shell Operating Units and refiners, Chemical Industry, Exploration and Production, and trading companies.

The 3 groups have strong links with the GS Consultancy group and contributes to refinery Master Planning, Hydrocarbon margin improvement programs and Pacesetting Consultancy Services. Our services are designed to enable customers to become more competitive in the preparation and delivery of the right quantity and quality of feedstocks and products at the right time, in the right place by the most appropriate transportation mode. The main operating sites are in The Hague, Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur. As part of the team, your key responsibilities include:

Developing and reviewing operational and safety procedures for oil movements installations;
Participating in and providing oil movements support for revamps and new design projects;
Participating in and providing leadership of oil movements masterplanning studies, basic process designs for tankage, jetties and movements between them as well as assistance during the engineering procurement contracting phase;
Provide leadership and vision in the area of Product Quality Management (PQM) for the supply chain, in support of our main internal customers strategy in this area;
Translate this vision into an integrated Global Solutions service delivery, covering all the relevant Delivery Groups in the area of PQM;
Troubleshooting quality incidents with Shell operational companies and develop learning from these incidents;
Providing help desk support for customers;
Teaching training courses at customer sites and centrally;
Traveling (up to 30%) to customer locations plus participation in consultancy studies such as hydrocarbon management reviews (typically 1-3 week assignments at the customer site);
Mentoring and guidance to more junior staff members.

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Requirements:

Substantial experience in either a refinery or an engineering contractor/process engineering environment;
Able to use ProII or other process modelling/simulations tools extensively;
You will have relevant exposure in Thermal Conversion and other conversion technologies, eg. Delayed Coking, Visbreaking;

Participate in margin improvement and energy reduction activities, technical audits and safety audits;

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Precise acoustic survey positioning for deepwater operations;
Offshore pipeline pre-lay, post-lay, and surveillance and inspection surveys;

2D & 3D seismic survey positioning support;
Geotechnical, geochemical and environmental sampling operations;
Demarcation and positioning services for rigs, barges & workboats by anchor handling tugs or remote positioning;
Survey data processing and the preparation of standard and customized hydrographic maps and charts with support from the department’s GIS mapping section;
Liaising with customers (marine captains, geologists, geophysicists, environmental scientists, well, structural and pipeline engineers) and the department’s contract offshore surveying resources, which include a long-term survey vessel and call out resources for site surveys and positioning operations.

In partnership with Qatar Petroleum, our client Qatar Shell GTL Ltd. (Shell), building a world scale Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) complex in Ras Laffan Industrial City, under an agreement with the state of Qatar. A diversified use of natural gas is emerging, adding a new dimension to traditional uses of gas by converting gas into, amongst other products, a high quality transportation fuel virtually free of sulphur and aromatics.

Qatar, with one of the largest reservoirs of gas, has the stated aim to be the GTL capital of the world.

A. Process Analyser Technician

Qualification & Experience:
The candidate should have at least a Diploma in Industrial Measurement & Control or other associated subject within the field of Instrumentation with at least 8-10 years experience either on onshore or offshore facilities of the Oil & Gas Industry. It is required to have knowledge of the analytical measurement principles used and experience as Process Analyser Technician with field process analysers and laboratory analytical equipment for the measurement of physical and chemical properties. Knowledge and experience of toxic and flammable gas detection equipment would also be required. The candidate would have gained reasonable experience in the latest methodologies for Fiscal Metering Systems.

B. Laboratory Technicians

Qualification & Experience:
The candidate should have a Master of Science in Chemistry or equivalent with at least 10 years experience of the Oil & Gas Industry. Working experience & Knowledge of laboratory equipments like ICP, IC, GC-ms, 2D-GC & XRF, analyzer in required. Knowledge of LIMS & QMS is highly desirable.

C. Shift Superintendent (Process)

Qualifications & Experience:
Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering with 10-15 years operational experience in a gas plant refinery, chemical plant.

• Have a proven track record as a shift supervisor and senior panel member, backed up by working experience in some of the main processes of a GTL plant, or an offshore production facility, or a gas treatment plant, or a refinery or petrochemical plants.
• Experience in (pre) commissioning and start-up is an advantage.
• Knowledge of computerized systems for data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity and experience with International Standards, Design & Engineering Practices, Flawless Start-Up and other methodologies such as HSE case, HAZOP, IPF, RCM and RBI.
• Responsible for supervising and leading a shift team. Coordinating with other department executing operation, plan, ensure manpower availability, maintenance activities, assessing root causes and remedies.
• Responsible to develop the training programs and train operators.
• Assist & involve in the Commissioning and start up SU plan.
• Create HSE environment & culture among team members, job safety analysis, PTW & aspects of HSE.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is also essential.

D. Operators

Qualifications & Experience:
Proven track record (Minimum 5 years) in the position of Field Operator, in large petrochemical plants, refineries or gas plants, including preferably working with contractors during (pre) commissioning and start-up, backed up by working experience in any of the following operations:

1. Field Operators/ Senior Operators (Gas to Liquid)

• Large petrochemical plants with if possible experience in complex catalytic systems.
• Syngas manufacturing plants.
• Steam methane reforming/hydrogen manufacturing unit.
• Refinery.

2. Field Operators/ Senior Operators Refinery

• Refinery, with if possible experience in atmospheric and vacuum distillations, hydro-cracking or lube oil units and storage tanks.

Operators shall demonstrate ability to work in a team of operators in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Fluency in English both in writing and verbal is mandatory.

E. Panel Operators

Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum 8 years Operational experience in large Oil & Gas plants, refinery or petrochemical plants including working with contractors during (pre) commissioning and start-up is preferable.
• Responsible for all aspects of operating the panel for that area and directing a team of operators to ensure the clean, safe, effective and optimal operation of the designated plant and equipment.
• Operation of control panel in a clean, safe, effective and optimal way during mode change, start-up and shut down.
• Able to manage complex interfaces in a very integrated plant, requiring excellent communication capabilities.
• Proven track record in the position of Panel Operator (minimum 3 years), backed up by working experience in any of the following operations:

1. Panel Operators - Feed Gas Preparation

• Offshore production unit.
• On shore production unit.
• Gas Treatment plant, with if possible experience in sour gas treatment and sulphur removal.
• Refinery gas plants.

2. Panel Operators - Gas to Liquid Area

• Large petrochemical plants with if possible experience in complex catalytic systems.
• Syngas manufacturing plants.
• Steam methane reforming/hydrogen manufacturing unit.
• Refinery.

3. Panel operators – Refinery
