JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will be a member of Baker Hughes Indonesia geoscience team with primary responsibility in providing solution to various customers in area of formation evaluation. He/she is also expected to work closely with Drilling Services and Wireline Services Product Line of Baker Hughes to provide necessary support in delivering highest quality service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs geological or petro physical interpretation and analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide Best In Class solutions for the client
Provide support to Drilling Services and Wireline Services product lines in terms of Log QC, data processing and analysis as required
Actively contribute to overall Baker Hughes Indonesia organization to build its brand in formation evaluation
Proactive in client visits


Preferred qualification / requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience or related earth science discipline plus 4 years experience or MSc. with 2 years experience or PhD. with no experience.
Experience in geological interpretation or formation evaluation utilizing and integrating various data, e.g. LWD/Wireline logs (including borehole image), core data, pressure test, etc.
Knowledge/experience in LWD acquisitions, log QC is a plus
Knowledge of basic computer operation skills including data input/output, competency in visualization and exposure to geo science-specific computer operations
Strong problem solving skills with a drive for results
Good written and verbal skills, including in English
Ability to work under-pressure and within a short time frame
Be flexible in terms of working schedules
Ability to build peer relationship as well as to work independently
Self-motivated and pro-active
Having a strong client focus


OTHER DETAILS

Occasional travels may be required
Mobility/flexibility in travelling, even with a short-notice is needed
Actively involved in professional societies, writes and/or presents technical papers in professional journals, prepares technical and economic proposals for presentations
