Our client, an Oil Major is currently seeking Lead HSE Engineer on Contract basis. The company executes EPCI projects of high value-added FPSO / FSO, Fixed Offshore Platforms, Semi-submersible Drilling Rigs, Drillships Passenger ships,
Wind mills as well as commercial vessels.


Lead Engineer (HSE)

Remuneration: Negotiable

We have an urgent opening for Lead Engineer (HSE) with an Oil Major in South East Asia who will be expected to work in a team for checking deliverables prepared by other HSE Engineers in the team.

Essentials Skills Sets
1. Manpower planning, requirement for recruitment and resource allocation within discipline.
2. Monitoring of deliverables issue dates against agreed DPR.
3. Review contracts/ scope of work and develop estimates and list of deliverables for proposed projects.
4. FEED verification and review of FEED engineering documents developed by others.
5. Basic and detail engineering, involving preparation of following deliverables:
• HSE philosophy
• Fire fighting philosophy including Fire & Gas System Specification, Active and Passive Fire Protection, Fire zone drawing, F&G philosophy, Fire protection Datasheet (FPDS), Firefighting equipment list, PFD/UFD of fire fighting system and Fire integrity layout for walls and decks.
• Winterization Philosophy
• Undertake/coordinate outsourcing of any special services, e.g. HAZOP Study, Safety Audit, Risk Analysis, Safety plot plan
• Classification drawing of hazardous area and input for F&G Layout
• Development of FW/Foam system P&IDs
• Process datasheet of FW Pumps
• Escape route layout, Safety Sign/Plan Layout, Special safety studies (explosion study etc.), Life saving equipment layout
• SIL study /review/ analysis
• WE reviews model and Vendor Supplied packages and WEAC working environment area charts.
• Input for HAZID/ENVID/WEIA close out action
• Prepare safety follow up data base for HSE studies and recommendations
• MTO/RFQ/TBER/POS for safety equipment
• Review/approval of vendor drawings and documents
6. Guidance & monitoring of environmental related issues to other disciplines as required.
7. Be proficient with international Codes and Standards, Industry Best Practice and Safety Regulations.
8. Be proficient in Autocad, PDMS, Navis Work, Pipenet, CFD, Phast, HAZOP Manager, Flacs, SAFETI
9. Relevant knowledge of HSE program, HAZID, ENVID, CRIO for control room and other equivalents.
10. Implement and monitor operational skills training and induction programs
11. Review HSE related documentation produced by the company & Contractors to verify compliance and propose improvements where appropriate.
12. Resolve minor HSE issues at site level, recording issues for future learning/trends, and raise major issues for greater awareness and resolution at higher levels if required.
13. HSE reporting and participation/leading investigations of accidents/incidents.

Desired Profile:
• Minimum 8 years experience in Oil & Gas Upstream, Midstream & Downstream processes.
• Good Communication & Interpersonal skills and have experience to work with global customers.
• Proven track record of meeting objectives and tight schedules and can handle pressure.
• Persistence and determination and go-getter approach.
• Strong in planning, organizing, problem solving, development and review of options.
• Should have knowledge of interdisciplinary departments.
• Ownership mindset, ability to work independently in a Team environment with minimum of supervision, effective communication skills (written and oral).
• Contribute to maintaining and enhancing quality management.
• Ensure compliance with Risk Management and Fire Safety Standards.
• Lead HSE initiatives and communication, coordination with groups to share HSE learning and ensure consistent standards and application.

Material Handling Engineer

Essentials Skills Sets Required:
• Experience in Oil & Gas Industry, especially on offshore projects.
• Handling all type of designing work in accordance with the company.
• Required to provide knowledge and expertise on material handling.
• Responsible for the follow up of implementation of the overall material handling philosophy for the project, covering all main areas (process module, drilling, hull, living quarter and wellhead module) and the overall material handling for the whole installation.
• Responsible for ensuring multi- discipline collaboration and endorsement of the material handing philosophy.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience of AutoCAD and/or 3D design/drafting software, SAP & ERP.
• Responsibility of scrutinizing and evaluating of tender documents both technically as well as commercially.
• Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers.
• Making Pre-Qualification documents, both standards as well project specific technical & commercial questionnaire.
• Preparation of Techno- Commercial offers..
• Follow up with sales team for the technical and commercial issues of the clients.
• Proper selection of Material to suit the technical requirements.
• Identification of new suppliers.
• Market Forecasting and Strategic Planning.
• Required to follow up material handling design throughout the project.
• Providing technical knowledge and support in the matters of materials handling.
• Developing and maintaining communication channels with clients, to ensure that work flows smoothly and that we are providing first class engineering services.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of offshore installations, including basic understanding of daily operational routines of various positions in first and second line maintenance tasks
• Ensure all calculations are performed efficiently and effectively.
• Strong in planning, organizing, problem solving, development and review of options
• Creativity and presenting Material Handling reports as per the client requirement.

Desired Profile :
• Should have an experience in Oil & Gas Industries.
• Candidates must have a qualification in Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Piping/ Layout Disciplines.
• Good Communication & Interpersonal skills and have experience to work with global customers.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience within mechanical discipline related to maintenance, engineering and construction to offshore installations.
• Efficiently and effectively managing multiple tasks independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Should have knowledge of interdisciplinary departments.
• Ownership mindset, ability to work independently in a Team environment with minimum of supervision, effective communication skills (written and oral).
• Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office toolset).
• Willingness to travel to both domestically and internationally, for varying durations and at times to remote locations.
• AutoCAD and/or 3D design/drafting software capabilities is considered an asset.
• Proven track record of meeting objectives and tight schedules and can handle pressure.
• Persistence and determination go-getter approach.
• Broad experience in Oil & Gas brownfield and greenfield facilities with EPC contractors.
