G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera.
Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:


SENIOR PROJECT GEOLOGIST (1 position) – (RD 0435)

The position requires a suitably fit and healthy individual with the technical skills and ability to perform quality geological field work and an eye for detail. Reporting to the Resource Development Superintendent – Resources Development Department. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

1. Design and oversee Resource development programs that mostly in drilling program
2. Interpreting data in 3D modelling for estimation and target generation
3. Maintain QAQC of geological data to meet with industrial standard
4. Preparing and involve in geological modelling and estimation
5. Act as a stand in for the Resource developement Superintendent
6. Assisting other staff where or as required.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Bachelor degree (S1) in geology
2. This is a FIFO position on a 4 weeks on/2 weeks off roster
3. 8-10 years experience - preferably strongly fieldwork background
4. Understand different geological models and systems
5. Knowledgeable in Geomodelling software – Micromine, Surpac, Datamine etc.
6. Prefferable have a good knowledge about Resource estimation work, such as data validation, wireframing, basic statistic.
7. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel in an organisation
8. Possess good English, both written and verbal
9. Able to lead and mentor junior staff
10. Willing to work in a GREAT team of multinational staff
11. Indonesian National Only
12. Must be available to commence work by early June 2014.

Mechanical Specialist Rebuild Fitter Fixed Plant (PRO 0432) x 4

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Mechanical Rebuild Supervisor – Processing Department.

This position would be responsible to provide ’hands-on’ support for the Mechanical Rebuild Supervisors, so as to ensure that the maintenance, modifications, servicing and installation activities carried out by the mechanical maintenance team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s mechanical plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Graduated from Polytechnic / Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Mechanical (Fitting) qualifications.
2. Minimum 3 years relevant mineral processing plant rebuild experience with pumps, gearboxes, jaw and cone crushers, valves and general mechanical components.
3. Workshop machine skills are required for a Lathe, Milling machine, radial drill, punch and sheer.
4. Must have a reasonable understanding of the English language and be able to communicate both written and spoken.
5. Broad based comprehensive experience with Mechanical maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes.
6. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry and the ability to write JSEA’s for their tasks incorporating risk management.
7. Must be able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and communicate to others.
8. Ability to follow ’Safe Working Procedures’ and assist in development.
9. Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture

Mechanical Specialist Rebuild Boilermaker Welder (PRO 0433) x 4

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Mechanical Rebuild Supervisor – Processing Department.

This position would be responsible to provide ’hands-on’ support for the Mechanical rebuild Supervisors, so as to ensure that the maintenance, modifications, servicing and installation activities carried out by the mechanical maintenance team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s mechanical plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Graduated from Polytechnic / Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Mechanical (Boilermaker/Welding) qualifications.
2. Specialised Boilermaker/Welding certification such as TIG, MMAW, Oxy Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Hard Facing and Measuring.
3. Must be able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and communicate to others
4. Minimum 3 years relevant mineral processing plant experience with Crushing, Grinding equipment.
5. Must have a reasonable understanding of the English language and be able to communicate both written and spoken.
6. Must be able to report defects to their Supervisor in a timely manner to ensure appropriate action is taken.
7. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry and the ability to write JSEA’s for their tasks incorporating risk management.
8. Good understanding of world class mining standard and associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC & ASTM).
9. Ability to follow ’Safe Working Procedures’ and assist in development.
10. Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture.

Mechanical Specialist Rebuild Supervisor Fixed Plant (PRO 0434) x 2

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Senior Mechanical Coordinator – Processing Department.

This position would be responsible to provide ’hands-on’ support for the Mechanical Supervisor, so as to ensure that all the rebuild maintenance components, modifications, servicing and installation activities carried out by the mechanical maintenance team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s mechanical plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to.

This role is for a specialist who has rebuild experience in process plant mechanical items such as gear boxes, pumps, valves, fabrication and welding components, machining skills to eliminate rework in the mechanical departments.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Graduated from Polytechnic / Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Mechanical (Fitter / Welder / Boilermaker) qualifications.
2. Minimum 10 years relevant mineral processing plant experience with Crushing, Grinding equipment and minimum of 5 years at a supervisory level within the mining sector.
3. Must have an excellent understanding of the English language and be able to communicate both written and spoken.
4. Must be able to compile reports and understand budgeting processes.
5. Ability to plan and supervise the work of others based on PM schedules, shutdown and breakdown requirements on a shift, daily and weekly basis.
6. Possess a valid recognised Driver’s licence.
7. Awareness of world class mining standards and associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC & ASTM).
8. Broad based comprehensive experience with Mechanical maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes. Experience with commissioning Gold Plant Processing equipment preferred not essential)
9. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
10. Must be able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and communicate to other tradesmen.
11. Ability to develop ’Safe Working Procedures’ and demonstrate these to subordinates.
12. Ability to estimate the amounts of labour, materials, and equipment required for tasks / projects.
13. Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.
14. Possess an aptitude of passing on knowledge & information to semi-skilled personnel.
15. Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture.
