Lubricant Manager for Prospective Research

Position:

He/she will contribute to the development of whole lubricants activities (crankcase, transmissions, industry and greases, marine lubricants), in order to create global innovations and new solutions to meet and anticipate market needs.

Working closely with all services of the research center and all Division teams, the duties will include:

manage a team of engineers and technicians
define and manage existing and new R&D projects
contribute to the strategic research in future technologies
assure technical programmes implementation according to budgets
assure the scientific services programme with external committees (universities...) in his field of expertise
follow the results in industrial properties
act as an expert by other teams in Lubricant department, other products departments, subsidiaries worldwide, and customers, thanks to his experience and deep knowledge in lubricants development, and organic chemistry
maintain permanent relations with suppliers (base, additive and chemical products), necessary to evaluate products
a close relation with equipment industries and OEM is necessary to manage technological evolutions and understand particular customer requirements

Profile:

Education

Chemical Engineer of very high scientific level (or PhD).
Mastering the field of additives, lubricants, and their applications. Very good knowledge in organic chemistry.
His or her strong technical skills in lubrication and knowledge in technologies (engine, transmissions, etc) allow to suggest original solutions to problems.
Fluency in English and French.

Experience

8-10 years of experience in Research and Development.
