we are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:

Senior Geophysicist (Code : SGP)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable senior geophysicist to work in the Exploration Team in Santos’ Jakarta office. The focus of this role will be on geophysical interpretation and play and prospect evaluation. You will conduct mapping and evaluations both within Santos’ existing acreage and to assess new ventures opportunities elsewhere in Indonesia in support of Santos’ growth goals. You will also provide support to coordinate any seismic acquisition or (re)processing projects within Indonesia. Naturally you will be a self-starter, and have sufficient depth and breadth of experience to be able to contribute at a fully independent level and provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff.

Experience & Attributes:
• University degree in Geoscience.
• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience with an operating company.
• Excellent geophysics core technical skills (2D/3D seismic interpretation, well tie analysis, depth conversion, attribute analysis, play and prospect evaluation, etc).
• Experienced user of industry standard geophysical interpretation software.
• Previous experience of New Ventures evaluations.
• Excellent communications skills (fluent spoken and written English).
• Team player with ability to mentor junior staff.

Aviation Technical Authority (Code : ATA)

Santos provides an opportunity for high talent Aviation Technical Authority to work in the Operations Department in Santos Jakarta Office. As Aviation Technical Authority in Santos Indonesia, you will be reporting to Head of Operations Support, and will be based in Jakarta. Major responsibilities of your role are managing all aviation technical matters to assure the integrity is managed, by ensuring the safe operations and consistent application of Santos and Regulatory codes and standards for all aviation related operations, including aviation safety on offshore and onshore facilities.

Your key accountabilities include:
• As the Primary Contact of Aviation Technical Authority of Santos Indonesia Operations for all matters related to aviation to achieve safe and commercially viable operations of both current and future operating assets and projects to deliver and comply with Santos Indonesia Operations business and Government of Indonesia law and regulations objectives/ target. As Key Contact for the Santos Corporate in relations to all aviation related matters including aviation integrity management and assure the integrity of the existing airfields and facilities, rotary and fixed wing (“Aircraft”), and aviation equipment are in line with Santos and relevant Regulatory standards and regulations.
• Act as Subject Matters Expert (SME) for all aviation related subjects and its facilities systems.
• Actively supporting Santos’ commitment to Environment, Health and Safety including: adopting and promoting personal work practices and procedures in accordance with Santos Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) standards.

Experience & Attributes:
• At least 10 years aviation experience with proven track record of aviation management preferably in offshore/onshore project or operations with extensive experience in aviation operations.
• Extensive understanding of oil and gas aviation offshore operations.
• Have sound knowledge of local aviation law/rules and regulations and be experienced in incident investigation experience and preferably be an Aviation Lead Auditor.
• Experienced worked as Aviation Consultant and/or Inspector.
• Experienced working with Aviation EHS systems.
• Excellent English and communication skills.

Marine Technical Authority (Code : MTA)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable Marine Technical Authority to work in the Operations Department in Santos Jakarta Office. As Marine Technical Authority in Santos Indonesia, you will be reporting to Head of Operations Support, and will be based in Jakarta. Major responsibility of your role will be managing all marine technical matters to assure the integrity is managed, by ensuring the safe operations and consistent application of Santos and Regulatory codes and standards for all marine activities, including marine safety on offshore and onshore facilities.

Your key accountabilities include among others:
• As the Primary Contact of Marine Technical Authorities of Santos Indonesia Operations for all matters related to marine to achieve safe and commercially viable operations of both current and future operating assets and projects to deliver and comply with Santos Indonesia Operations business and Government of Indonesia law and regulations objectives/target.
• As Key Contact for the Santos Corporate in relations to all marine related matters, including marine vessel integrity management and assure the integrity of the existing facilities, vessel, and marine equipment are in line with Santos and relevant Regulatory standard and regulations.
• As Subject Matters Expert (SME) for all marine and floating systems including underwater and anchor handling jobs, offtake and towing systems, navigational aids, fuel technical system on vessel, and offshore radio communication.
• Actively supporting Santos’ commitment to Environment, Health and Safety including: adopting and promoting personal work practices and procedures in accordance with Santos Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) standards.

Experience & Attributes:
• A degree qualified or First Class Chief Engineers Certificate or Master Mariners Certificate or equivalent vocational standards.
• Professional qualified, e.g. Master Mariner or Marine Engineering degree and/or a Chief Engineer’s or Combined Certificates.
• Preferably certified as Mooring Master and hold a valid Maritime Pilot Certificate.
• Excellent knowledge of Flag and Class requirements and standards, the relevant Indonesian legislation and interface between verification scheme and safety case, as well as knowledge of oil and gas Marine and Logistic operations, and Marine management principles.
• Preferably experienced as Marine Consultant and/or Surveyor.
• Have a sufficient Personal Safety Training and familiar with Marine Safety applications.
• At least 5 year experience in supervision level, preferable in offshore/onshore project or 10 years extensive experience in Marine operations.
• Experienced working with Marine EHS systems.
• Excellent English and communication skills.


Senior Exploration Geologist (Code : SEGL)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable senior geologist to work in the Exploration Team in Santos’ Jakarta office. The focus of this role will be on evaluation of exploration opportunities and new ventures assessments. You will conduct regional geological studies to identify areas of potential interest within Indonesia. You will be responsible for play and prospect evaluations, and resource and risk estimation both within Santos’ existing acreage and in new areas.

Naturally you will be a self-starter, and have sufficient depth and breadth of experience to contribute at a fully independent level and provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff.

Experience & Attributes:
• University degree in Geoscience.
• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience with an operating company.
• Excellent exploration geology core technical skills (basin analysis, play and prospect evaluation, resource and risk estimation, log evaluation).
• Experienced user of industry standard geological interpretation software.
• Previous experience of New Ventures evaluations (for the first role).
• Excellent communications skills (fluent spoken and written English).
• Team player with ability to mentor junior staff.
