G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera.
Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.

To strengthen the existing training team and to ensure the achievement of the company staff development objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for two training and development professionals from the corporate or vocational training sector to fill the roles:

Process Supervisor/Trainer (Shift) PRO 0106

This position will be based in Martabe Project with FIFO roster 4/2 weeks and reports directly to the Supervisor / Trainer - Processing [expatriate].

Role of this position is to provide the necessary skills, knowledge and supervision to the local Process Plant workforce to ensure all activities associated within the Process Plant are effectively and safely carried out on a daily bas is. He/she will implement with the Process Superintendent strategies for continuous improvement in overall process Plan t performance to ensure production targets are met with particular emphasis on safety, environment, productivity, security and cost.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Graduated from Senior High School, tertiary metallurgical qualifications [not essential but highly].
2. Must have an excellent understanding of the English language and able to communicate both written and spoken.
3. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet
4. Five years or more experience gained in a processing supervisory role within the resource sector.
5. Minimum 7 [seven] years relevant mineral processing plant experience. With experience in Crushing & Reclaim, Grinding & Reclassification, Carbon in Leach, Desorption & Regene ration, Waste Water Polishing Plant.
6. Experience commissioning gold Processing Plant equipment
7. Ability to read and understand PFO’s, PID’s and control philosophy documentation. The ability to explain information in these documents to trainee Process Plant Operators.
8. Understanding of and ability to use plant SCADA system. Commissioning experience [not essential but highly regarded]
9. Experience in a construction phase of a mining project
10. Training of plant personnel in an expatriate environment. The ability to prepare training materials and present training information.
11. The ability to teach and train operators to carry out their duties in such a manner as to achieve maximum individual accountability.
12. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards associated within a Processing Plant environment.
13. Ability to plan and supervise the work of others on a shift , daily, and weekly basis.
14. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instruct ions.
15. A thorough understanding of the product ion flow sheet and routine production requirements of the Processing Plant.
16. An understanding of security procedures.
17. Superior work ethic , be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture.


Mobile Equipment Trainer (HR 0101) X 2

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to the Mobile Equipment & Permitting Training Supervisor.

This position would be responsible for assist the Mobile Equipment and Permitting Training Supervisor in the development and implementation of knowledge and skill training, to ensure ongoing progression of all PTAR personnel who require permits and licences in order to work safely and effectively within the appropriate manpower regulations and legislation. The incumbent will be the front-line trainer and assessor of numerous permits and licenses.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. She/he is a Certified Trainer.
2. Current Indonesian light vehicle licences.
3. Five (5) years experience in the mining industry with 3 years as a Vehicle / Equipment Operator Trainer alike Cranes (mobile crane, overhead crane , gantry crane), Forklift, Telehandler, Reach Stacker, Trucks, Man haul etc.
4. A sound awareness of competency based training systems.
5. A sound awareness of operational safety issues and an excellent personal safety record.
6. Thorough knowledge of Equipment Operator Standards.
7. Is a Certified Rigger, Dogma n and various MINERBA Vehicle Certificates.
8. High level competency in personal computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.


Gold Room Supervisor Trainer ( PRO 0107)

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Processing Superintendent.

The role of the Gold Room Supervisor Trainer is to provide the necessary skills , knowledge and supervision to the local gold room workforce to ensure all activities associated with the gold room are effectively and safely carried out on a daily basis. He/she will implement with the Process Superintendent strategies for continuous improvement in gold room performance to ensure production targets are met with particular emphasis on safety, productivity, security and cost.

To effectively communicate, successfully train and develop the skills of the inexperienced but willing newly recruited gold room employees into a well developed, disciplined, safe and efficient team.

Assist in the implementation of the Ore Commissioning Plan during the gold room commissioning phase.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Minimum Senior High School - SMK or SMA. Diploma in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering is preferred.
2. Must be able to communicate effectively in English Language and be able write reports and ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
3. Five (5) years or more experience gained in a processing supervisory role within the resource sector.
4. Minimum 7 years relevant mineral processing plant experience and 3 years experience as a Gold Room Operator.
5. Experience commissioning gold room equipment
6. Training of plant personnel in an expatriate environment. The ability to prepare training materials and present training information
7. Thorough knowledge of the methods, procedures, reporting protocols, tracking documentation, tools, raw materials, technology and occupational hazards [as mercury, heat related stress] associated with a Gold Room.
8. Ability to plan and supervise the work of others on a shi ft, daily, and weekly bas is
9. A thorough understanding of the production flow sheet and routine maintenance requirement s of the Gold Room including electrowinning, retorting and smelting activities
10. Ability to read and understand PFD’s, PID’s and control philosophy documentation. The ability to explain information in these documents to trainee gold room operators
11. Understanding of and ability to use plant SCADA systems and to train gold room operators to effectively utilise the same tools
12. A thorough understanding of intense security procedures at Gold Room.
13. The ability to teach and train operators to carry out their duties in such a manner as to achieve maximum individual scrutability.
14. Compute r literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point. Outlook and Internet
15. Superior work ethic , be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture.
