AEL Mining Services is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in Africa and Indonesia.



AEL is currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth. To support this continued growth, we are currently looking to recruit following positions:

CONTROL AND INSTRUMENT ENGINEER (CODE: ENG-INS) – to be based in Balikpapan

Requirements:
- Demonstrate capability to analyze problems and provide accurate solutions.
- Demonstration in time management and managing multiple priorities.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to constructively resolve conflicts.
- High passion and excellence, bias for action, adaptability and resilience.
- Must be able to work extended hours, weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or when deadlines must be met.
- Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic system.
- Some travel will be required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or related field is highly desirable; but a combination of great experience and demonstrated skill with DCS based solutions associated with industrial automation plus educational accomplishments will be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of local compliance requirements.
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience with process automation techniques and applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills and experience applying technology through teamwork.
- Good communication skills, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the incumbent is required to communicate to management level.
- Able to proficiently speak and write in English.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment including interactions with technical staff, administrative staff, business leaders and contract personnel.
- Ability to accept and respond to changes and challenges in a positive manner.
