1. PROJECT CONTROL SPECIALIST (Ref # 417390)
POSITION SYNOPSIS
We are currently offering a proactive, lateral-thinking professional the opportunity to join the team in this key role providing internal and external project controls for the Pearl Project.
With your main priorities providing support in the development, implementation and maintenance of world-class project tools, you will also be involved in the coordination with internal and external resources, to establish project status based on agreed plans.
You will also provide assistance in evaluating proposals against BHP Billiton standards and requirements as well as accepted project control principals and guidelines.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, your key accountabilities will include:
Providing support to the various project groups by compiling accurate data of the project
Development of innovative solutions to provide problem resolution
Ensuring unbiased implementation of Project Control procedures and guidelines
Maintaining deadlines and the timely updating of update information
Analysis and reporting on overall project progress and costs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will be degree qualified with extensive experience as a Project Control Specialist / Planner in a major resource setting or large scale capital projects. Your exposure to front-end study and design works and projects, and ideally experience in an Owners Team Environment, will allow you to excel within this dynamic project.
Action-oriented and quality-focused, your track record testifies to your planning capabilities, implementation of world class Project Control Systems and tools and your strengths in information monitoring in a major project environment.
Competency and excellent technical knowledge in Primavera (P6 preferred) along with expertise in the full Microsoft Office suite will support your demonstrated experience in project control concepts analysis and reporting functions.
Your functional strengths will be complemented by excellent English skills, innovative work methods and the proven ability to thrive under pressure.
2. Government Relations Superintendent (Ref # 416939)
POSITION SYNOPSIS
Reporting to the Government Relations Manager, you will play a critical role in the provision of quality government relations throughout the Feasibility phase and be a key contributor to the Contract of Work reporting requirements. You will also be involved in developing an effective Forward Work Plan and ensure that the government relations work meets and exceed both BHP Billiton operating requirements and statutory regulations.
You will also be accountable for coordinating a consistent and accurate message about the project to the general public through their government representatives, which will be backed up by your thorough research, targeting and communication strategies.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree qualified in Communications or a related discipline, you will have proven relationships within Government circles of influence from your previous experience in a multinational organization.
With an overriding commitment to Heath, Safety, Environment and Community and sustainable development, you will also have a strong understanding that the likely impacts of the changing legislative and regulatory environments will have on the project.
Ideally you are a strong communicator with and ability to build consultative, collaborative and consensus based relationships, who has a strong understanding of the cultural sensitivities in Indonesia and government protocols. English and Indonesian Bahasa skills are essential and knowledge of local Eastern Indonesian dialects would be advantageous.
All positioa are Jakarta-based with frequent travel to site.
