The Exploration & Production business began in Asia Pacific over a century ago, back in the 1890s, when the first wells were drilled by Shell in Sumatra and Borneo. Recent discoveries in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam provide an aggressive expansion to our portfolio in the region.
Shell Exploration & Production Asia Pacific operates in seven countries - Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, China, Philippines, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore.

EPA (c8.gg) Reservoir Geophysicists
(Sarawak - Miri)
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics, Physics or Mathematics. A Professional Degree or Master's Degree would be an advantage;
Minimum five years’ working experience, preferably as a reservoir geophysicist, and competent in well and seismic data quality check (QC) and executing seismic inversion;
Experiences in seismic processing will be a major advantage. Additional experience in petrophysical evaluation, geostatistics and seismic interpretation would be an advantage;
Applicants must be willing to be based in Miri, Malaysia.
Responsibilities:
Scope/execute integrated reservoir characterization projects to support field development e.g. deterministic or probabilistic seismic inversion, static model confirmation;
Scope/execute seismic modeling, amplitude analysis and fluid prediction to identify or high-grade exploration prospects;
Scope/execute pore pressure prediction to support exploration drilling;
Identify opportunities and deliver innovative technology to benefit exploration and field development. Current focus is on reservoir surveillance e.g. TimeLapse or 4D seismic;
Maintain customer focus while delivering value to the customers’ business;
Work in virtual integrated teams and to seek, apply and share ‘best practices’;
Coach junior members of the team.
