Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Operational Excellence (OE)/Health, Environment & Safety (HES)
Performs OE/HES activities including but not limited to verifying work permits, ensuring safe work practices followed, emergency response, use of MOC processes, incident reporting / mitigation, LPS stewardship and site visits
Execution
Handles tank truck loading, marine vessel loading, marine vessel receipt, pipeline receipt/transfer, tank truck receipt, additive receipt/use, inventory storage and warehouse operations as applicable:
-Physical loading / un-loading function and the associated documentation
-Product quality verification (initial and ongoing)
-Inventory measurements and documentation
Monitors work and performance of contractors, customers, drivers and third parties to ensure compliance with work scope, work procedures and good house-keeping of the terminal
Ensures the performance of measurements/checks and maintenance of terminal records as assigned, e.g. waste and emissions, fire protection equipment, terminal inspection checklists, equipment calibrations, tank overfill protection etc.
Stakeholders Engagement
Liaises with vessel masters, surveyors and internal & external stakeholders with regard to receipt, storage, loading and distribution of products; Monitors to ensure standards and processes are compiled with
Leadership Accountability
Provides coaching and leadership to operators and shift personnel to ensure compliance with OE/HES and Transportation & Operations (T&O) Terminal and Fleet standards and processes and to assist them in developing competency fluency; Ensures fraud prevention processes are robust and strictly followed
Training & Development
Participates in all trainings; Develops fluency in competency by continuously application of learned skills and self-learning;
Assists as a subject matter expert (SME) to deliver training to operators, etc.
Others
Performs any other duties as assigned by Terminal Manager, e.g. project management;
Responds to emergency response as first responder team lead until relief by others
Required Qualifications:
Diploma in any technical discipline
Minimum 1 to 2 years work experience in oil terminal and transportation operations preferably in petrochemical industry
Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
Computer literate
Ability to engage and build working relationships within the team
Willing to work on a 3-shift cycle which operates on 24/7
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Selected candidate will work in Malaysia under the local payroll system and benefits.
