Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Heavy Oil Operations Engineering Team: FE Mechanical / Reliability located in Duri, Indonesia through February 11, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Serves as Mechanical/Rotating Equipment SME for Heavy Oil Operations Engineering.
Provide expertise in rotating equipment function with focuses on the mechanical design and operation of rotating and reciprocating equipment, e.g. pumps, compressors, mechanical seals, multi-phase pumps, fans, blowers, etc.
For new installations or upgrades, this includes concept development, cost analysis, application, selection, specification, bid analysis, standards preparation and review, inspection, and testing.
Rotating equipment operations and maintenance support can include field commissioning & start-up, troubleshooting, RCA, rerating equipment and machinery-reliability programs.
Support Base Business initiatives especially related with process safety processess.
Solves unusual or complex problems requiring comprehensive understanding of rotating equipment, integrating understanding of other disciplines, technologies and customer constraints.
Teaches individuals and classes on the use of specialized disciplines related to rotating equipment, for example, compressor and pump design, multi-phase pump applications, or rotating equipment troubleshooting.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 10 yrs relevant experience
Experience in upstream oil, water, and gas facilities.
A corporate medical clearance to obtain an Indonesia work permit.
Demonstrated Leadership and results in Operational performance.
A proven track record of utilizing OE processes to achieve results in Engineering, Construction, and Contractor Safety.
Knowledge and application of OEMS process and Base Business initiative.
Exhibits strong focus on OE tenets and regularly reinforces safety behaviors of team members in their daily activities and by leading by example.
Strong change agent with the ability to gain buy-in for initiatives.
Makes decisions independently and aligns direction for Company and Contractor personnel.
Leads by example and has mentoring capability.
Required mentoring of Indonesian National employees.
Strong diversity understanding and teaching ability.
Effectively work as member of multi-discipline team as Mechanical-Rotating Equipment SME.
Strong mentoring skills and interpersonal communications within a multi-cultural team environment.
Ability to effectively interface with operational personnel, outside contractors, designers, and other team members.
Ability to work with multi-discipline teams, including opportunity identifications and early concept development.
Proven ability to effectively and judiciously apply CPDEP tools and best practices.
Has experience with fired equipment such as open, enclosed flares and incenerator.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous international oil and gas experience.
