Qatargas Operating Company has exciting opportunities available for qualified professionals to join our company in the development of the vast North Field in Qatar. Qatargas currently has under development over $20 billion worth of major projects, including the construction of four new Liquefied Natural Gas trains for the production and export of LNG to every corner of the globe.

Work Location: Doha (Qatar)

Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science/Technology in Petroleum Engineering;
* 10-15 years experience in production operations, planning, management, optimization as well as familiarity with well engineering and reservoir engineering essentials in oil and gas industry.
* Good background in production technology, petroleum engineering applications and tools for production optimization, planning and forecasting such as OFM, PROSPER, GAP, MBAL, MS Project, NODAL Analysis, PIPESIM, Back allocation software. Computer literacy essential; using computer and advanced excel, micros, Visual Basics and handling data through database systems.
* Good written and spoken English.

Responsible for Integrated Production Models and Programs to maximize revenues through managing and monitoring well production in line with long-term reservoir management goals and short-term cash flow maximization. Follow up the well production, identify production shortfalls and analyze their origin in order to find counter-measures. Co-ordinate with multi-disciplinary experts of different departments in order to propose curative actions for underperforming wells and production systems. Participate in studies and evaluation of field re-development plans in collaboration with reservoir engineering and shareholders that lead to the optimum production and recovery of the oil and gas reserves and improve the economics. Mentor production performance engineers and recommend practical training and development to keep them abreast of latest technology development worldwide.
