Husky Energy is currently looking for a Project Planner for Husky's Atlantic Region, based in St. John's, NL. You will provide planning expertise and project reporting support to a project management team that executes various ongoing projects for White Rose offshore work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensure suppliers provide resource loaded schedules at determined intervals to ensure work is being completed on time and within budget;
* Collect contractor performance data and monitor against defined project planning goals;
* Contribute to progress reports for internal Husky weekly and monthly reporting, monthly reporting to partner(s), and monthly reporting to Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB).
* Assist with the implementation of Husky's project delivery model in the Atlantic region;
* Provide project planning support and expertise to subsea and project execution teams;
* Work with the project team to develop baseline schedules for ongoing projects;
* Work with the project team to identify all resources needed to meet project schedules and develop a plan that allows accurate and effective measurement of project progress;
* Report and monitor progress against the plan including proactively providing areas of risk and concern with meeting the project plan;
* Develop and implement standard project planning and associated reporting procedures;
Education/Experience:
* Experience in the delivery of oil and gas equipment including contractor interface management and liaison
* Degree in an engineering discipline, engineering technology diploma, or formal training in project planning with previous suitable project planning experience
Knowledge/Skills:
* Sound budgeting and planning capacity
* Broad knowledge of multi-disciplinary subsea tieback projects including flexible flowlines and risers, subsea equipment design and manufacturing and installation activities
* Knowledge of project management principles for execution of large projects
* Knowledge of oil and gas process/production operations
* Clear understanding of the role of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems in the offshore context
* Fully competent in use of Primavera 6
* Knowledge of risk assessments for subsea systems
Medical (Physical) Requirements/Standards:
* You will be required to occasionally travel/work offshore and, therefore, must successfully complete the medical assessment and required training for clearance to work in that environment.
