Piping Designer
(Singapore
)

Responsibilities:

* Scoping and preparing of design deliverables for oil and gas production piping ad mechanical facilities through development of cost, time and resource sheets.
* Review design solutions, prepare data sheets, P&ID’s, equipment and piping layouts, material take-offs, review vendor data and advise on piping interface portion of work.
* Generate all technical piping drawings with the ability to review equipment layouts and liaise with suppliers of the same.
* High levels of interaction with the detailed design project team and it is expected that the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills along with the ability to supervise and/or perform the detail drafting of piping discipline deliverables.
* Provide site support and technical assistance for the entire project life cycle, of construction, hook-up and commissioning of the piping facilities in all work and site environments.
* Interface with vendors under supervision of the lead piping mechanical engineer to review technical submissions and manage equipment interfaces.
* Work to review existing piping systems for adequacy of design. Perform detailed design of piping modifications, as required.
* Prepare material requisitions [for purchase orders].
* Work to ensure that the Company Management of Change policy is maintained and that all work is carried out in accordance with departmental procedures.
* Assist construction and operations in all technical and materials issues.
* Participate in interface meetings with construction and operations. Participate in design reviews, technical impact and/or review meetings with construction, operations, maintenance and other groups.
* Maintain a complete record of technical items and correspondence to support details design deliverables development and further revision.
* Perform site surveys of existing systems, issue site constructability survey reports and recommend tie-ins / modifications for new facilities with minimal down time
* Remain up to date on piping and mechanical codes of practice
* Interpret and implement local and international design codes and practices to comply with local and international laws, as applicable and ensure current International Standards and approaches are used and implemented where appropriate. Ensure compliance with Company procedures.
* Address material and schedule concerns with the Contractor.
* Prepare, check, issue and file design deliverables and maintain document control register.
* Monitor performance of the detail design against project cost time and resource estimates.
* Adhere to Company and international standards.

Requirements:

* Diploma in Piping discipline together with a minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in the design of piping mechanical systems in carbon steel, duplex, GRE in Oil and Gas facilities.


Mechanical Engineer
(Singapore)


Responsibilities:

* Scoping and preparing of design basis for all new piping and mechanical facilities
* Propose/review design solutions, prepare/review data sheets, perform/review bid evaluations and advise on piping and mechanical portion of work.
* High levels of interaction with the detailed design Contractor will be required and it is expected that the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills along with the ability to guide and direct the detail piping/mechanical design engineers through the technical Contractual obligations.
* Provide site support and technical assistance for the entire project life cycle, of construction, hook-up commissioning and operation of the new facilities in all work and site environments.
* Interface to Company’s Operations and maintenance team to ensure deliverance of customer requirements and integration into existing facilities.
* Interface to any suppliers and/or vendors to perform factory acceptance tests, review and coordinate their day-day works in all work and site environments to provide instruction and guidance on technical issues in line with the project requirements.
* Work to review piping/mechanical systems for adequacy of design. Perform detailed design of instrumentation modifications, as required.
* Interface with, and provide technical guidance for the activities of consultant engineering contractors as required.
* Prepare material requisitions [for purchase orders]; propose bidder lists and input to contracts.
* Provide technical reports and assist in preparing management reports and attending project meetings.
* Drafting and reviewing cost estimates, input to budget submissions
* Work to ensure that the Company Management of Change policy is maintained and that all work is carried out in accordance with departmental procedures.
* Assist construction in all technical and materials issues.
* Participate in interface meetings with construction. Participate in design reviews, technical impact and/or review meetings with construction, development, production and other groups.
* Maintain a complete record of technical items and correspondence to support design decisions and equipment selection, documenting all key piping/mechanical instrument systems engineering calculations.
* Remain up to date on piping/mechanical industry issues
* Raise and discuss key and critical technical issues with the Project Engineer to develop cost effective solutions, using best operating practice and current industry design criteria.

Requirements:

* This position requires a minimum educational background of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering together with a minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in the design and supply of piping and mechanical equipment for oil and gas developments.
