Geo – Technician

Job Requirement

• Bsc in Petroleum Engineering or Geoscientist, at least 5 years experiences
• Strong in computer programming and database management (e.g Excel Macros, Access, etc)
• Exposures in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent in spoken and written English
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• High level of initiative, energy and creativity & willingness to learn and accept responsibility
• Analytical skills with a practical approach to problem solving


Basic Purpose

To continuously provide an updated subsurface database as a result of seismic interpretations, geological correlations, reserve estimation and field production to the Geoscientist and Engineers that will ensure field optimization.

Nature And Scope

Assist Geoscientist and Engineers
1. General housekeeping of all subsurface related data
2. Production reporting and production data management
3. Create well data summary that capture well information and well activities
4. Ability to collect, qc and integrate relevant subsurface data
5. Support well optimization team on data collection and preparation
6. Create and maintain comprehensive reservoir pressure database
7. Prepare the data for updating the production and pressure history for reservoir simulation
