JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITY

In this position, applicants will review bids and subcontract welding procedures and provide support for qualification and production phases of a project.
Candidate should ideally have a working knowledge of materials, typically carbon steel linepipe materials.
Experience with CRA (Corrosion Resistant Alloy) and Duplex Stainless Steel materials would be an advantage.
Process knowledge should include SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and SAW.
Experience with automated welding processes would also be advantageous.
Candidate will also be responsible for advising on production estimates and costs.
Applicants should be familiar with codes API 1104, DNV OS-F101, AWS D1.1 and NACE / ISO 15156. Knowledge of European Codes would be an advantage.
Under limited supervision, independently evaluates, organizes and prioritizes work which is normally subject to internal checking and approval.
Responsible for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to DO, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd party submissions.
Understands clients needs; identifies and addresses design parameters and problems; develops and implements solutions.
Ensures project fitness-for-purpose, HS&E compliance and adherence to project budget and schedule.
Ensures all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed
