POSITION SYNOPSIS:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and result driven self starter. You will be expected to take the responsibility in assisting the Pearl Project Team in converting written material from English to Indonesian Bahasa and vice versa.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will have gained extensive experience in translating documents which will be supplemented by your tertiary degree of English Literature, any foreign language or related field. Multinational corporate would be an advantage. With impeccable ethics and integrity, you accept no compromise on issues of business conduct and safety. Proficiency with integrated computing packages will be essential.
Your functional strengths will be complemented by excellent English skill in writing and grammatical, innovative work methods and the proven ability to thrive under pressure.
Reporting to the Office and Facilities Coordinator, your responsibility will include:
Ensure a truthful and as direct translation as possible without personal interpretations.
Reading through original material and rewriting in the target language and ensuring that the meaning of the source is retained.
Using specialist dictionaries, thesaurus and the reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation.
Proofreading clients with grammatical and well expressed final version of the translated text.
Consulting with expert in specialist area.
Ensure the confidentiality of the translated documents.
Assistance with filling of documentation for Finance / Legal & Admin Departments.
Meeting deadlines.
